1. Who are you?

He introduces himself as Hamun Kost.

2. Speak to him about the undead terrorising townsfolk and find out what he is up to

He states that it is really none of your business. Just know that he has his own reasons for being here. If questioned about the undead, he apologises for the trouble the zombies may have caused, but it’s a good way to make sure he is able to operate here undisturbed.

Hamun’s Quest

When you’ve finished asking your questions, he is willing to provide information to you in return for a favour.

If you agree, he shares the following requests.

  • Wipe out or drive away the orcs at Wyvern Tor. If you ask why, he says they seem keen to cause him trouble. Wyvern Tor is half a day’s travel from here.
  • Ask a question of Agatha the banshee: “What is the name of the wizard who built the tower at Old Owl Well?”. Agatha’s lair is roughly a day’s travel from here.

Simply doing one or the other will be enough to conclude your business with Hamun.

Once you’re done here, you may read the rest of the ‘Old Owl Well’ section on page 29 to see what kind of rewards you get.
